Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was visibly furious following the 4-4 draw against Bournemouth, partially due to Senne Lammens.
The Portuguese playmaker produced another sublime display at Old Trafford. He created his team’s second goal on the night by picking up Casemiro at the back post from a sublime corner kick.

Nevertheless, the highlight of his evening was undoubtedly the outrageous free-kick he scored to restore parity.

But while the teenager defender was the main culprit on Bournemouth’s first two goals, the fingers were pointed at Lammens on the third strike, as he conceded a free-kick at the post he was supposed to be covering.
Interestingly, a circulating video on X shows Bruno telling Lammens to lean to the right side ahead of the free-kick. The Man Utd captain had apparently anticipated Marcus Tavernier’s shot towards the bottom corner, and felt that the custodian was standing too central in his goal.

Nevertheless, the stubborn Belgian stood still, refusing to heed his captain’s advice, only to concede a goal a few seconds later.
Bruno Fernandes looked inconsolable after Man Utd’s draw with BournemouthAfter the contest, Fernandes looked absolutely vexed, perhaps not necessarily with Lammens in particular, but with the team in general, as they failed to preserve the lead on three different occasions, and ended up dropping two valuable points in the race for Europe.
Another circulating video on X shows an inconsolable Bruno at full-time. The 31-year-old was expressing his displeasure to anyone who approached him, beginning with Manuel Ugarte, who remained on the bench for the duration of the match, and then Casemiro.

While Bruno’s demeanour may divide opinion, his insatiable desire to win is beyond dispute, and it is precisely that edge Man United supporters can only hope becomes contagious inside the dressing room.
