Manchester United have confirmed that Matheus Cunha has returned to training just in time to face Liverpool on Sunday.
While it’s unconfirmed at this stage whether he will make the squad, it does look incredibly promising given the Reds don’t play until Sunday afternoon.
They shared a snap of the attacker putting in the work at Carringon, captioned: “Look who’s back”.

Cunha awaiting return after brief injury layoffCunha missed out on the win over Brentford due to a minor groin injury.
The Brazilian was withdrawn in the closing stages at Stamford Bridge the week prior after initially sustaining the problem, and left the pitch having scored United’s only goal of the game in a crucial victory against Chelsea.

His teammates were able to get the job done in his absence when facing the Bees, with goals from Casemiro and Benjamin Sesko proving enough to edge past the stern opposition. However, it goes without saying that it’d be a major boost to have him fit and available for the visit of Liverpool.
Cunha tipped to start vs LFC if availableThe former Molineux talisman has netted eight times already throughout his maiden season in red while contributing a further four assists.
Gary Neville is of the belief that if Cunha is match-fit by the weekend, Amad Diallo will be sacrificed from the starting XI to make way for him.
Amad has yet to register a goal contribution this calendar year; his most recent came in the form of a goal during a 4-4 draw with Bournemouth, which marked his last game before jetting off to the African Cup of Nations.
He did score three times and assist once at the tournament, yet has since failed to replicate such form for United.

Elsewhere, Patrick Dorgu returned to the matchday squad on Monday night for the first time since being ruled out with a hamstring injury in late January, so supporters are crossing their fingers they will see a glimpse of him in action next time out.
