Manchester United performed reasonably well during the first half, but they were completely dominated by Newcastle United in the second half of the game. They did well to hang on defensively, despite some questionable substitutions from the manager.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has now heaped praise on the talented young Ayden Heaven for his performance after coming on against Newcastle. The former Manchester United defender believes that the young defender was absolutely brilliant, and he helped Manchester United hold onto their lead.

Gary Neville hails HeavenNeville told the BBC: “An incredible second half. I thought Manchester United edged the first half. I thought they did really well, but then the substitutions came.
“The shape, the players on the pitch got even more bizarre, but they hung on. He [Ayden Heaven] was absolutely outstanding, that young man. He was absolutely brilliant. He headed everything clear, and he rightly gets a hug from Luke Shaw and the coaching staff.”
